Our Office Policies

Appointments

We prefer office visits to be by appointment, as this is the most effective use of our professional time and it helps to keep patient waiting to a minimum.

We encourage you to select a primary provider from our group and we will make every effort to schedule you with that provider. However, in the event that you require immediate medical attention and your primary provider is unavailable, we will schedule you with another group provider who has an opening in his or her schedule.

We do accept call-in and walk-in patients with urgent problems depending on our physicians’ availability. We will do our best to take care of these problems as quickly as possible. At times, it is necessary to utilize the Emergency Room at UNC Rockingham to provide acute care.

Emergencies

If you are having a true emergency please call 911. One of our providers is always on call for emergencies after hours and weekends. If you have an emergency that cannot wait until routine office hours, you can reach the on call provider by calling UNC Rockingham at (336)-623-9711. The on call provider will return your message as soon as possible and help propose an appropriate solution to your emergency.

Office Fees

Co-payments and payments are expected at the time services are rendered. While we bill most insurance companies as a courtesy, we do not extend credit for office visits or procedures. Please verify with our insurance staff that your plan is accepted by our office.

If financial difficulties arise, we encourage you to speak with our office staff as soon as possible so we can discuss available options.

Past Due Balances (Over 90 Days)

Balances under $249.99: Must be paid in full before future appointments can be scheduled.
Balances of $250.00 or more: A payment of 50% of the total balance is required before an appointment can be scheduled. The remaining balance will be placed on a 3-month payment plan.

Account Discount Option
Patients with an outstanding balance of $1,000 or greater who choose to pay the entire balance in full will receive a 40% discount on the total balance.
