Rockingham County Help for Homeless, Inc. provides support services and
affordable housing to individuals and families in Rockingham County. Services
provided include transitional and permanent housing to individuals who are
homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, case management and support
services, emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and medications, food
assistance, and referrals to other services and organizations.

It is the mission of the New Reidsville Housing Authority to provide decent,
affordable housing for low-income, elderly, homeless, and special needs
residents of Reidsville and Rockingham County. Services provided include a
section 8 housing choice voucher program, public housing waiting list that is
always open and accepts applications for 1-5 bedroom units at Parkview Village.

Help Incorporated: Center Against Violence, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit agency,
provides emergency and ongoing services to survivors of domestic violence,
sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, and elder maltreatment. Services
are structured to prioritize physical safety and equitable access to available
resources. Services include advocacy through law enforcement, judicial,
healthcare, and other systems as necessary. All of our services are Free and
Confidential.

Madison Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents
through the management of low rent public housing. This program is income
based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD. There may be waiting lists for
these rentals and at times the lists may closed to new applicants based on the
size of and length of wait on the lists. If you have a need for housing assistancein the area, please contact the Housing Authority directly to obtain more
information about eligibility requirements, availability of rentals, the status of any
waiting lists and their application procedures.
